About Stree 2:

Stree 2 is a sequel to the 2018 film Stree. The movie stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana. The original film focused on a female ghost who was wronged during her mortal life. The sequel shifts focus to a headless villain named ‘Sarkata,’ who has a connection to the titular character.

Stree 2 is the latest addition to producer Dinesh Vijan’s ambitious horror-comedy universe, which also includes films like Bhediya and Munjya. The movie was released on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day, alongside other titles such as Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa.

Amar Kaushik on His Films:

In a recent interview with PTI, the film’s director Amar Kaushik discussed his journey. “When Stree released, it was my first film, and I was very nervous. I never intended to start my career with a horror film; it was the last genre I thought I’d explore.” He added, “While editing the film, we realized it was something unique, as there were no reference points. Audiences are smarter than us filmmakers; they know when a film offers a new experience, which they felt with Stree.”
