Shots were fired outside Punjabi singer AP Dhillon’s house in Vancouver, Canada, on Monday. A day after the incident, a new video surfaced on social media showing the accused setting a black truck and a small vehicle on fire before firing at least 14 shots outside the residence and fleeing in a car.
Another video from the scene shows burn marks from the vehicles and gunshot damage on the house’s front windows. Media reports suggest that Rohit Godara, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media post.
Messages circulating online allege that the Bishnoi-Godara gang also carried out shootings in Victoria Island and Woodbridge, Toronto, though these claims have not been independently verified by HT.
AP Dhillon Reacts to the Incident
Following the incident, AP Dhillon, a prominent figure in the global hip-hop scene, addressed the shooting on his Instagram Stories, assuring fans that he and his team are safe. The Canada-based artist, originally from Gurdaspur, India, expressed gratitude for the support, writing, “I’m safe. My people are safe. Thank you to everyone who reached out. Your support means everything. Peace and love to all.”
Possible Connection to Salman Khan’s House Firing
The incident at Dhillon’s residence comes just weeks after he appeared with Bollywood star Salman Khan in the music video for his song “Old Money.” Earlier, on April 14, two assailants fired five shots outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai. Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol, who lives in Canada, had claimed responsibility for that attack. The Mumbai police have since charged nine individuals, including Lawrence Bishnoi, in connection with the incident.
